The best wedding photos never look posed—they feel alive.

One of the biggest worries couples share with me is: “We’re so awkward in front of the camera.” The good news? You don’t need to be a model to look incredible. You just need a few tricks to help you relax and let your real connection shine.

1. Focus on Each Other, Not the Camera

Talk, laugh, whisper a secret. When you look at each other instead of the lens, the nerves melt away and genuine emotion takes over.

2. Add Movement

Walking hand-in-hand, spinning in your dress, brushing hair from each other’s face—all these little motions create natural, flowing images.

3. Use Prompts, Not Poses

Good photographers won’t bark orders—they’ll guide you with fun prompts. Things like, “Walk towards me like you’re tipsy but trying to hide it” or “Hold hands and race each other.” Prompts create moments, not stiffness.

4. Embrace Imperfection

The crooked tie, the wind-blown veil, the unplanned laugh—those are the photos you’ll treasure.

5. Trust Your Photographer

Millennials and Gen Z couples often choose photographers who share their vibe. Once you’ve picked the right person, let go. The magic happens when you stop overthinking.

Bonus: Engagement Sessions

Doing a pre-wedding shoot is the best way to practice. You’ll see how easy and fun it is—and come wedding day, you’ll feel like pros.
